There is little chance of a quick return to a housing boom despite the possibility of UK prices rising over the course of the year, surveyors say.

NEW 100 PICCADILLY

Lords, Ladies, Gentlemen

Stately Country Manor, Centrally Located

  • A unique building, with the possibility of many different uses. Fantastic address, about to come on the market this week. We have a small window of opportunity to gather some interest. The vendor really is unsure of what price he expects to achieve, and is going to let the market dictate,
  • We are able to put a prospective buyer in a direct meeting with the vendor
  • Fees due from purchaser

Join the ranks of those with rank

Built for a Lord in 1759, it spent a decadent century playing home to a Lord, a Marquess and a Prince as his Royal Residence, before it became home to real power.

From 1857 PM Lord Palmerston single-handedly invented the concept of ‘Gunboat Diplomacy’.

After a decade of Palmerston moving the army and navy around the globe it was fitting that his house should provide a comfy chair and a stiff drink for those same Admirals and Generals as the Naval and Military Club, better known as the In and Out Club (from the large lettering at either end of the half-circle driveway you can still see today).

It was they who added the extra building at the rear in the early 1920s, continuing to defend an ever-shrinking Empire from the comfort of the chesterfield until 1993.

250 years of history - 250,000ft  of potential

Theatrical

Cast iron gates, gravel driveway, Portland façade, portico, central staircase, octagonal room, tiled hallways, marble fireplaces.

There is not so much that it is limiting, but there’s enough to add magnificence to whatever décor or use to which you apply the building.

The greater the statement you want to make the better, this is not a project that forgives trepidation.

Space in crowds

One of the few remaining Palladian Palaces by Matthew Brettingham the Elder forms the centrepiece of this outstanding freehold estate in the heart of Mayfair, little has changed for this historically significant structure in the last 250 years: it has remained the grand statement it always was, still staring across the beautiful expanse of Green Park to Buckingham Palace, quietly holding court in the very heart of one of the greatest cities in the world.

Only now it is rare, unique and, lest we forget, offers 22,000m2 of beautifully proportioned internal space.

So while the exterior brings to mind all the greatness of old England, the interior is open to persuasion.

It would be easier to think of what the building could not be used for than to list its possibilities.

We are not retained and would require a fee to be agreed further information is available

on receipt of a Letter of Interest and a signed Fee agreement.
